SHENANDOAH – Wilson Memorial rallied from a third-quarter deficit to post a 60-58 overtime victory over Page County in Shenandoah District girls basketball action at Page County High School.
The Green Hornets (5-1), who earned their fourth straight victory, were down 46-43 entering the fourth quarter, but outscored the Panthers 10-7 to tie the game at 53-53 and send it to overtime. Sarah Sondrol and Cheridan Hatfield both had four points in the period.
In the overtime, Emma Harris converted a three-point play, Sam Kershner had a basket and Scottie Hull converted 2 of 3 free-throw attempts as Wilson outscored the Panthers 7-5.
Sondrol led the Hornets with 12 points, Hull finished with 11 and Hatfield and Bailey Cullen tallied 10 apiece. Hatfield led Wilson in rebounds with 13, while Paris Hutchinson had a team-high five assists.
The Green Hornets are back in action and on the road Friday for a district clash at Buffalo Gap.
