Chef of the Week

In sports the term “cookin” is reserved for a player who goes on a scoring spree or gets hot during a game and makes big plays on the offensive end.

This week’s “Chef of the Week” award winner is Howard Pulley (Minn.) shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. for dropping, count ‘em, 46 points in a 80-78 overtime win over Southern Stampede (Ga.) at the Nike EYBL in Hampton, Va., this past weekend.

Trent went 15 of 31 from the field, 6 of 14 from the three-point line and 10 of 12 from the free-throw line.

The best part his team remained undefeated.

Dominance and results, the mark of a true chef.

Poster of the Week

This week’s Poster of the Week winner is Game Elite (Ga.) wing Zion Williamson for dropping the hammer and a body at the Bob Gibbons tournament this past weekend.

Williamson cut backdoor, caught a precise alley-oop from his teammate and threw down a two-hander through a defender who simply shouldn’t have jumped.

Here’s a dunk that truly shut the gym down.

Oh No They Didn’t!

This award is reserved for the player who turned in a mind-boggling performance or play that left the crowd in a state of shock and amazement.

This week’s “Oh No They Didn’t” winner is Paul W. Bryant’s (Cottondale, Ala.) Seth Williams for shattering the backboard on a recent dunk.

Williams, a four-star wide receiver, took an alley-oop pass off the bounce and threw down a two-hander that immediately sent the glass flying.

This you must see.
