USA TODAY High School Sports is presenting the third annual American Family Insurance Preseason ALL-USA Boys Lacrosse Teams as selected by Casey Vock of 3d Rising.

Players are selected based on on-field accomplishments and strength of opposition during the high school season.

Cole “Bubba” Fairman School: Deerfield Academy (Deerfield, Mass.) Class: Senior College: Maryland Possibly the top prospect in scholastic lacrosse this season, Fairman is primed to burst back onto the scene after transferring back east to Deerfield. He returned to Brighton (Utah) for 2016 after a strong season at Calverton (Md.) in 2015. He is a multi-threat attackman and plays with a fearless attitude. Ryan Lanchbury School: Avon Old Farms (Avon, Conn.) Class: Senior College: Richmond Lanchbury, a member of the U-19 Team Canada last year, makes plays extremely fast and has years of box lacrosse experience. He can cut through traffic, catch and finish. He can operate with one hand on his stick and pull up for accurate passes with his feet moving. His hybrid skills allow him to make dangerous moves off the catch. He is one of the most decorated players in New England after a 60-plus point season in 2016. Photo: TJ Shaw

Tehoka Nanticoke School: IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) Class: Senior College: Albany Nanticoke, one of the most skilled high school players since Lyle Thompson, put up 39 goals and 34 assists last spring through the IMG Academy national team’s 13 game schedule. The Six Nations product can use his big frame to post up, back in and then his magic wand of a stick takes over. Alex Trippi School: Bullis School, (Bethesda, Md.) Class: Senior College: North Carolina Trippi notched 56 goals and 48 assists in his junior season leading Bullis to a 21-2 record and its first IAC conference championship. The compact, explosive lefty has athleticism and is able to force defenses to slide to him. His ability to make second and third moves and get himself into shooting position or find a cutting teammate makes him extremely challenging to cover. Photo: Casey Vock, 3d Rising

James Avanzato School: Sachem North (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) Class: Senior College: Maryland An athletic and dynamic midfielder, Avanzato returns after putting up an impressive 63 goals and 27 assists last year. He’s got a motor and is a coachable player with the ability to score goals in a number of ways. Avanzato is one of the most proven players on Long Island and looks to close out one of the better careers at Sachem North. Photo: Sachem North

Matt Licciardi School: Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y. Class: Senior College: Cornell The do-it-all, sparkplug midfielder has led his team to back-to-back New York State Class C championships. He posted 20 goals and 33 assists while also helping secure many possessions for the Seahawks' offense. An explosive, skilled and quick midfielder who also takes draws and make plays in the open field. Photo: Casey Vock, 3d Rising

Matt Moore School: Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, Pa.) Class: Senior College: Virginia Recovering from a surgery this past fall, he’s still one of the most impressive players in the nation after scoring 48 goals and 53 assists last season. A hard-dodger whose legs seem to go the entire game, Moore is an intimidating matchup because of his big frame and ability to run by a defender but he is an impressive athlete who gets all over the field. Lucas Quinn School: Niskayuna (Schenectady, N.Y.) Class: Junior College: Syracuse A multi-year impact player, Quinn is a silky smooth but powerful right-handed dodger who has an excellent set of hands and natural playmaking abilities. He’s helped Niskayuna continue its run as the team to beat in Albany, putting up 57 goals and 42 assists last season while drawing the opposition’s top defensive player. Photo: Casey Vock, 3d Rising

Justin Shockey School: Landon School (Bethesda, Md.) Class: Senior College: Navy A standout during the high school season but also in the increasingly competitive recruiting market. He has the potential to be an All-American at the Naval Academy and is expected to be the most challenging draw matchup in the entire Mid-Atlantic region. Last year, he won 75 percent of his attempts and registered 11 goals and five assists. He looks to lead Landon back to prominence in 2017. Photo: Landon School

Jose Boyer School: Yorktown, N.Y. Class: Senior College: Notre Dame Led Yorktown to a New York State Class B championship appearance, where he was one of the most outstanding players on the field. He’s relentless when checking the ball carrier and has quick feet. The talented right-hander is slick and aggressive with the ball in his stick and has a knack for making plays in the middle of the field. He’s also a leader on a team that has been a powerhouse in his time on the roster.Photo: Casey Vock, 3d Rising

Owen Prybylski (right) School: Westfield, N.J. Class: Senior College: Villanova Prybylski is a tough, gritty, physically impressive defender who can simply lock down top attackman, and he’s done that for several seasons to help Westfield continue to make its push as one of the up-and-coming programs in New Jersey. The righty has excellent footwork and gets low on the ball and he’s incredibly tough to budge. He scooped up 35 groundballs in 2016. Photo: Zach Babo, Inside Lacrosse Magazine

Liam Duff School: Culver Academy (Culver, Ind.) Class: Junior College: Delaware Duff is a long, rangy defenseman who was his team’s most relied upon down low last season. He has high expectations from his coaches again this season and will face a list of future Division I attackmen through Culver’s tough schedule. Chris FakeSchool: The Hun School (Princeton, N.J.)Class: SeniorCollege: Yale Fake burst onto the scene two years ago, covering top opposing players just as a sophomore. A strong, steady defender with good fundamentals, he will have big responsibilities as the Hun School takes on another tough schedule featuring teams that have made regular appearances in the Super 25. Joe Licalzi School: South Side (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) Class: Senior College: Georgetown Licalzi returns after receiving major accolades as one of the most respected players on Long Island in the 2017 class. He’s a technically sound left-handed defender who’s quick on his feet, precise with the stick and has the ability to play up the field. He’s nimble and covers ground and is a pest on the ball and can gain separation on the clear. He can disrupt passing lanes, snag the ball and create transition. Photo: Gina Langdon

Alex Rode School: St. Paul’s School (Brooklandville, Md.) Class: Senior College: Virginia Continuing the St. Paul’s pipeline of outstanding Division I goaltender prospects, Rode stands out as one of the most heralded players in the MIAA “A” Conference. A tall, poised goalkeeper with a cool presence in the cage and outstanding reflexes, Rode is a gifted shot stopper who he recorded a school single-season record with 258 saves last season.
