Angel Food Cupcakes

With Valentine’s Day coming up, there is obviously one thing on everyone’s mind: food. Whether you are single or in a relationship there is no wrong turns when it comes to desserts. That’s why angel-food cupcakes are the perfect sweet snack. You can make them for your significant other or for yourself for a February night full of Netflix and snacks. (The ingredients here are for five servings so, there will be plenty for hours of binge-watching).

The ingredients needed are:

-1/3 cup and 1 tablespoon cake flour

-1/2 cup and 2 teaspoons white sugar

-1/8 teaspoon salt

-1/3 cup and 2 tablespoons egg whites

-1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

-1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

-1/8 teaspoon almond extract

Once all of the ingredients listed have been acquired you can start by beating the egg whites until they form stiff peaks, then you can add cream of tartar, vanilla extract, and almond extract.

Then, sift together flour, sugar, and salt (repeat this five times).

Next, carefully combine the egg whites with the dry ingredients, and then pour into a cupcake pan. You can then place the pan into the cold oven.

Once the pan is inside, set it to 325 degrees and cook for about one hour until golden brown.

When they are finished, flip the pan and wait for them to cool.

Other things such a whipped cream and strawberries can be added once the cake is cooled, but by itself, the cake is still delicious.

Enjoy these cupcakes with whatever plans you have this Valentine’s Day.
