Plainfield’s Curt Benge will be the girls IndyStar Indiana All-Star coach in June.
Benge has a 343-160 record in 22 years at Plainfield, leading the Quakers to five sectional championships and one regional title since taking over the program in 1996. Plainfield was 18-7 this season, falling in the sectional to Brownsburg.
IndyStar Indiana All-Star game director Charlie Hall said Martinsville coach Vince Cerbone and Warsaw coach Michelle Harter will assist Benge.
The dates and locations for Indiana’s games vs. Kentucky are also set, Hall said. The teams will meet on June 10 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, beginning with the girls game at 5 p.m. The Indiana All-Stars will play the Kentucky All-Stars in the rematch on June 11 at Central Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, Ky. The girls game will begin at 1 p.m., followed by the boys.
The Indiana All-Stars’ rosters will be announced at a later date.
