HAMMOND — Top-seeded Florien started fast against third-seeded Anacoco in a 53-38 win to give the Black Cats the Class B girls state basketball championship.
Florien opened the game by scoring the first six points of the contest.
Florien took a 10-point lead into the fourth quarter, 40-30, before finishing off Anacoco.
Florien claimed the Class B girls state basketball championship.
