USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the 2018 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Minnesota Football Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2018-19 season.

 COACH OF THE YEAR: Jeff Williams, Owatonna

Williams led the Huskies to their second straight Class 5A state title and third in six years. Owatonna is known for its explosive offense behind running back Jason Williamson, but the Huskies showed they could be stingy on defense as well, allowing just 11 points total in the state semifinals and final.

OFFENSE

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Jason Williamson, Owatonna

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Williamson ran for 1,612 yards and 26 touchdowns just in the postseason, leading the Huskies to a second straight Class 5A state title. The Gatorade State Player of the Year finished the season with 3,012 rushing yards and 46 scores.

DEFENSE

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Eli Mostaert, Lakeville North

The senior defensive lineman totaled 67 tackles, including 12 for loss, and 12 sacks as Lakeville North won the Class 6A state title. Not to be confused with Will Mostaert, Eli’s 6-foot-4, 245-pound defensive lineman twin brother who will be joining him next year at North Dakota State.
