Chosen 25 forward Isaiah Stewart is down to six schools

La Lumiere (La Porte, Ind.) forward Isaiah Stewart made a big step toward deciding where he’ll attend college on Friday when he released his top six schools via Twitter: Washington, Syracuse, Indiana, Duke, Villanova and Michigan State all made the cut for Stewart, who is ranked No. 8 overall in USA Today Sports’ Chosen 25 for 2019.

Whichever school ultimately lands Stewart is getting, arguably, the best frontcourt player in the country. This summer he averaged 18 points and 12 rebounds a game for City Rocks (N.Y.) on the Nike EYBL, the toughest league of the summer.

Earlier this month his peers gave him the BEST BACK-TO-THE-BASKET award in USA Today Sports’ Players’ Choice Awards.

Stewart told USA Today Sports that he was taking his time with setting up his official visits.

Learn more about Stewart’s thought-process in picking his final six in his blog “Zay Day,” which will come out next week at www.USATodayHSS.com.
