Boutte, who 247 Sports considers to be the No. 1 prospect from Louisiana in the class of 2020, held offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, West Virginia, Arizona State, UL and Louisiana Tech.

As a sophomore, the 6-foot, 185-pound wideout caught 30 passes for 725 yards for Westgate High School (New Iberia, La.). He also carried the ball 28 times for 210 yards. He was responsible for 11 touchdowns.
