Result: Previous: 2. The Blue Devils defeated Canadaigua (N.Y.) 6-1 on April 28 in what was the lowest-scoring output for Victor since 2013. But the Blue Devils have now won 32 games in a row, the most recent pair in one-sided victories over Orchard Park (N.Y.) and Irondequoit (N.Y.). Upstate New York’s game of the week is May 5, when Victor meets fellow undefeated Section V Class A squad Pittsford, now ranked No. 24, then takes on reigning state Class C runner-up Cazenovia on May 7.

Result: Previous: 4. The Eagles won three games in impressive fashion in the previous week, cruising to wins over Bishop O’Connell (Va.), St. John’s (D.C.) and then Bishop Ireton in the WCAC quarterfinals. The Purple Eagles are hunting their seventh consecutive conference title and will host St. Mary’s Ryken (Md.) in the WCAC semifinals on May 5. Gonzaga won the regular season meeting 22-6.
Potomac, MD 17 - 2 - 0
Result: Previous: 5. The Bulldogs survived a slugfest with a talented St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.) team on April 29, winning 7-5 and needing to rally from behind to do so. Goalie Jake Simon made nine stops in the victory. Bullis shut out its next opponent, Lake Braddock (Va.), 15-0 on May 3. The Bulldogs next face St. Albans (D.C.) on May 6.
Owings Mills, MD 14 - 1 - 0
Result: Previous: 6. The Eagles sit atop the MIAA ‘A’ Conference standings at 7-0 this week after earning a 15-5 victory over St. Mary’s of Annapolis on April 29 and then a wild double-overtime 10-9 win over No. 6 Boys’ Latin (Md.) on May 3. Andrew Hurdle was the hero, scoring the game winner with 28.2 seconds left. The Eagles will be strong favorites over Archbishop Spalding (Md.) and Gilman (Md.) in its final two games of the regular season.
Baltimore, MD 11 - 3 - 0
Result: Previous: 7. The Lakers earned a convincing 14-8 win over No. _ Loyola Blakefield (Md.) on April 29, but then fell in the dramatic double-overimt classic against No. 5 McDonogh this week, just the third loss of the season for this talented team. The Lakers are favorites in their final two MIAA ‘A’ Conference matchups, taking on both Gilman and St. Paul’s at home this week.

Result: Previous: 13. The Blue Wave has risen as the top Connecticut squad in the Super 25 ranks thanks to a huge 10-7 win over rival and No. 8 New Canaan on April 30. Star defender Mark Evanchick had a noteworthy performance in the win against a talented Rams offense. Darien then took down Staples (Conn.) 17-5 on May 3. Another big in-state matchup is on deck as the Blue Wave will travel to Ridgefield on May 7.
New Canaan, CT 10 - 1 - 0
Result: Previous: 3. New Canaan fell in the big Connecticut showdown last week, losing to new No. 7 Darien 10-7. But the Rams bounced right back with a 14-4 win over Fairfield-Ludlowe (Conn.) on May 3. New Canaan travels to Fairfield-Warde (Conn.) on May 5 and hosts Brien McMahon (Conn.) on May 7.
Bradenton, FL 12 - 1 - 0
Result: Previous: 8. The Ascenders finished their season on April 16 with a 19-6 victory over Seton Hall Prep (N.J.). IMG’s lone loss of the year came in the Crossover Clash against No. 1-ranked Hill Academy (Ont.) on April 4.
Baltimore, MD 13 - 3 - 0
Result: Previous: 9. The Cardinals earned a clean 17-6 victory over league opponent Severn (Md.) on April 20, but then had to scrap for a 7-6 win over St. Mary’s of Annapolis on May 3. The Cardinals have a pair of important MIAA ‘A’ Conference games this week, with St. Paul’s (Md.) and Loyola Blakefield (Md.) on deck for May 6 and May 10, respectively.
Culver, IN 14 - 3 - 0
Result: Previous: 10. The Eagles grabbed three good wins over midwestern foes last week, cruising past Forest Hills Central (Mich.) 21-9, doubling up a strong St. Ignatius program out of Cleveland 10-5 and then rolling over Trinity out of Louisville 16-4. Culver travels to meet St. Xavier of Cincinnati on May 6.
Greenwich, CT 11 - 2 - 0
Result: Previous: 11. The Bruins earned a hard-fought win over the Hun School (N.J.) on April 30, winning 7-6. Sean Morris scored two goals that turned out to be the difference in the game, one being the game-winner. Brunswick then outlasted Choate (Conn.) 14-12 on May 4. Up next for the Bruins is a home matchup against Westminster School (Conn.) on May 7, then at home again on May 11 to meet a talented Avon Old Farms (Conn.) team.
Deerfield, MA 9 - 1 - 0
Result: Previous: 12. The Big Green defeated Phillips Andover (Mass.) 11-4 on April 30, and then outlasted Lawrenceville (N.J.) 15-11 on May 4 to win its fourth straight contest since being upset by Trinity Pawling (N.Y.) on April 20. Deerfield hosts Hotchkiss (Conn.) on May 7 then hits the road for Northfield Mt. Hermon (Mass.) on May 9.
Haverford, PA 14 - 4 - 0
Result: Previous: 14. The Fords took down two of its top Inter-Ac rivals this past week, outlasting Malvern Prep 16-12 and then defeating Episcopal Academy 12-5 to improve to 7-0 in conference play. Haverford faces Penn Charter (Pa.) on May 6 and La Salle College High School (Pa.) on May 9, both game at home. A quick turnaround puts the Fords on the road May 10 to face Germantown Academy in another Inter-Ac matchup.
Bridgewater, NJ 11 - 0 - 0
Result: Previous: 16. It’s 34 straight wins for the Panthers, who most recently earned wins over Bronxville (N.Y.), 10-5, and Hillsborough (N.J.), 12-1. No team has put up more than nine goals against Bridgewater-Raritan so far this season. New Jersey now gets into the postseason, with the county tournaments taking place before the state tournament field is set.

Result: Previous: 15. Loyola Blakefield was defeated handily, 14-8, on April 29 by a Boys’ Latin team that just took McDonogh to double-overtime this week. The Dons responded with a gutsy 11-10 overtime win on May 3 on the road against Archbishop Spalding (Md.). This week Loyola hosts Mount St. Joseph and then heads to Calvert Hall in its final two MIAA ‘A’ Conference games.
Gaithersburg, MD 15 - 3 - 0
Result: Previous: 17. The Bears defeated IAC rival Georgetown Prep 10-5 on April 29, on the road, and then defeated Robinson, one of the top programs in Virginia, 17-12 on May 3 at home. Landon hosts Episcopal High School (Va.) on May 6 and then hosts Churchill (Md.) on May 9.
Summit, NJ 13 - 0 - 0
Result: Previous: 18. Summit earned a tough 9-5 win over Lincoln-Sudbury, a Massachusetts powerhouse, on April 20 and then two days later rolled over Old Bridge (N.J.) 14-1. The Hilltoppers face Scot Plains Fanwood (N.J.) on May 5 and then host undefeated Ridgewood (N.J.) on May 11 in what should be an exciting matchup.
Morristown, NJ 11 - 1 - 0
Result: Previous: 19. The Green Wave defeated a talented Mountain Lakes (N.J.) team 8-3 on April 30 on the road and then routed Jefferson Township (N.J.) 19-4 on May 2. Delbarton hosts Randolph (N.J.) on May 5 before a nine-day break.
Melville, NY 10 - 1 - 0
Result: Previous: 20. The Friars earned two high-quality New York wins in the previous week, edging Syosset 7-6 on April 28 and then outlasting Yorktown 9-6 two days later. St. Anthony’s has one of its biggest tests of the year on May 5 when it travels to Connecticut to face still-undefeated No. 7 Darien. Later in the week, the Friars host their longtime rival Chaminade (N.Y.) for the second meeting of the year.
Cold Spring Harbor
Cold Spring Harbor, NY 11 - 0 - 0
Result: Previous: 21. The Seahawks continue to take care of business, earning three wins in the previous week to improve to 11-0 on the season. Road wins over Huntington (N.Y.) and Malverne (N.Y.) and a home win over Clarke (N.Y.) are the most recent victories on Cold Spring Harbor’s resume. This week brings Class C matchups with Locust Valley and Wheatley.
Syosset, NY 9 - 1 - 0
Result: Previous: 22. The Braves fell in a one-goal loss to No. 20 St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) on April 28 in a great battle. Syosset responded with a big win, edging a powerful Massapequa (N.Y.) team 13-12 on May 3. Port Washington (N.Y.) comes to town on May 6, and then the Braves will hit the road for Hericks (N.Y.) on May 11.
Bohemia, NY 12 - 0 - 0
Result: Previous: 25. The Thunderbirds continue to roll, this past week in more thrilling fashion with another tight win. Connetquot edged Huntington (N.Y.) on May 3 to remain undefeated this season. It doesn’t get any easier, as this week brings a home matchup with West Islip (N.Y.) on May 5 and a road game at Smithtown East (N.Y.) on May 7.
Pittsford, NY 10 - 0 - 0
Result: Previous: Unranked. The Panthers are rolling and are a team with a lot of momentum in the Rochester area at the moment. A team loaded with future college players, the Panthers are averaging more than 13 goals per game but allowing only five. Pittsford meets No. 2 Victor (N.Y.) on May 5 in a big Section V Class A showdown.
Bloomfield Hills, MI 12 - 1 - 0
Result: Previous: Unranked. The Warriors have an impressive resume this season, with their only loss coming to No. 11 Culver Academy (Ind.). Brother Rice most recently picked up wins against a talented St. Michael’s College (Ont.) team on April 30 and and then earned an 11-5 win over Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.) on May 3. Brother Rice faces Upper Arlington (Ohio) on May 6.
